The purpose of Black Star News is to:

• Promote the unification of the Black Family for the preservation of its members' identity, posterity, human dignity and respectability.

• Provide a reliable medium through which Black Youths can be heard concerning issues that will affect their lives.

• Relentlessly seek out and inform the community on matters that are crucial to the wellbeing of its members and its over all security.
