Where & when was Marcus Garvey Born?
He was born in Saint Ann, Jamaica, West Indies on August 17, 1887.

Was Marcus Garvey a Father?
He was a husband and father of two male children, Julius, and Marcus Jr.

What is Marcus Garvey's Official Title?
He was elected Provisional President of Africa by 25,000 delegates from all over the world at the first international convention of negro peoples of the world in New York in 1920. Marcus Garvey was opposed by Dr. Lewis from Nigeria.

What is the name of Marcus Garvey's Organization?
Marcus Garvey is founder and 1st President General of the U.N.I.A. - "Universal Negro Improvement Association".

What is the purpose of the U.N.I.A.?
The U.N.I.A. was established as the Administrative Entity that plans, promotes and oversees the Redemption, and Repatriation of Africans from foreign lands back to their Rightful Homeland-Africa.

What happens to the U.N.I.A.?
Those that benefited from the free labor of Africans in the Western Hemisphere strategically dismembered the U.N.I.A. Although the organization suffered tremendous hardship from the negative propaganda unleashed against its founder and leader, the UNIA survived. Its head quarter is situated in Washington DC. Marcus Garvey Jr is now President General.

This Acronym means "African Culture Restoration Association" a Not-for-Profit group based in Toronto, Canada.

What is the purpose of A.C.R.A.?
The organization strives to convince Africans as to the seriousness of the time in which we live, the importance of doing for self what needs to be done, and promotes the benefits of self- knowledge and collective economics.

How does one gain membership?

How do I benefit from being a member?
First and foremost your membership is an indication that you are someone who is concerned with the present condition of Mother Africa's Scattered Black Children living with the Western Hemisphere. The organization belongs to its membership, and members are guided by the organization's constitution and by-laws.

Among the many benefits of membership are: The right to vote at Annual General Meetings(AGM): The right to submit matters for discussion at AGMs: The right to campaign and hold official office: The privilege to enter ACRA'S private chat rooms and participate in discussions: The right to enjoy discount off merchandise purchases, and entrance fees to ACRA'S events (trips, seminars, socials, etc.).

How does ACRA finance its Initiatives?
Free will Offerings and Fundraising are ACRA's only source of finance thus far. A membership fee, and monthly financial contribution structure is presently being organized, and will be posted shortly. Please feel free to submit suggestion(s).

What is ACRA'S projection for the future?
ACRA seeks to develop and maintain programs that provide information and opportunities by which Mother Africa's Scattered Black Children can extricate themselves from the shackles of mis-education, economic stagnation, and mental slavery.

ACRA seeks to establish economic, cultural, educational, and social initiatives that encourages People of African Ancestry to use their abilities and geniuses to build for themselves once again.

ACRA will continued to support the development of the Annual Marcus Garvey Celebrations in an effort to make it an International Affair involving People of African Ancestry.

We make no profit from this web site at the moment. This site was designed and is being maintained by voluntary contributions. Please feel free to send us your comments and suggestion(s).

Why doesn't your site have those snazzy looking banners?
We have elected to apply the liberation colors of Marcus Garvey throughout our pages. This has created a most beautiful and interesting ambiance. However, you can rest assured that before long our youth community will demonstrate their skills and geniuses.

Usually we encourage site owners to be original in their approach and the manner in which their information is displayed. Yes to both questions. We are quite happy that you ask, however, there are certain requirements that must be attended to in order to complete such arrangements.
