HISTORICAL ESSAY COMPETITION

> AFRICAN CULTURE RESTORATION <

CRITERIA

In 750 to 1000 words competitors must address the following:

(1) What essential African Culture(s) Africans in the Western Hemisphere have lost as a result of Forceful Migration and or Suppressive Western Imperialistic Subjugation.

(2) What conditions and Who according to historic facts is responsible for the acts which resulted in the slaving of Africans in the Western Hemisphere.

(3) When and why were the above atrocities committed.

(4) What can and should be done to compensate for the above atrocities.

(5) What will be the benefit to humanity, when essential African Cultures are restored and reasonable compensation is paid to the descendants of the Western Slave Trade Migration?

ESSAY EVALUATION

The Essay Evaluation Committee shall select fifteen entries from among all submitted entries.
These fifteen entries shall represents the fifteen (15) finalists, whose names will be published in the press four weeks following the closing date of the competition.

The selection of the fifteen- (15) finalists will be done via the ballot system. A selected impartial panel of knowledgeable individuals from among the African Caribbean Canadian Communities will do the final judging.

10 POINT MUST SYSTEM

Judging will be done using the 10 point must system and shall be based on:

(a) Educational substance

(b) Degree of research

(c) Artistic presentation

(d) Historical Facts

WHO CAN ENTER?

Any member of the Human family whose genuine desire is to help with the reconstruction of The African Story may enter this competition.

EXCEPTION

No Employee of The African Culture Restoration Association, their immediate family or members of the Essay Evaluation Committee may enter this competition.

HOW TO ENTER
