The 2nd Annual Universal Marcus Garvey Birthday Celebration, and Tribute
THE PROCESS for RACIAL PROGRESS

A proposal for advancing Garveyism in the New Age
By H. E. Wesley Jr.

The 2nd Annual Universal Marcus Garvey Birthday Celebration And Tribute is being planned. At this event Garveyites from around the world will come together to pay tribute to the Founder and first President General of the Universal Negro Improvement Association & African Communities League. At this event Garveyites come together to put brains and hands together to analyze and plan for racial growth. In the early 1960’s as a young man I first heard the call “Africa for Africans at home and abroad.” Around that time a lifelong Garveyite, Mr. Benjamin Samuels, put two books in my hand ‑‑ Imperialism and World Politics, by Parker Thomas Moon, and the Philosophy and Opinions of Marcus Garvey, compiled by Amy Jacques Garvey. Mr. Samuels ordered me to read both books, as I needed to rearrange my thought process. Those two books put me on the road to the conclusions presented in this paper, which I present to the world body of Garveyites two months before this occasion in the hope that it will be received in the mode it is given.

Quoting from Moon’s book, we read:

“Seeing the trees but not the wood is so natural a tendency that world events such as the industrial revolution, the rise of democracy, and contemporary imperialism are not easily envisaged in their full magnitude until we have had time to put their many specific incidents together in some intelligible synthesis. In the case of imperialism, making such a synthesis is as difficult as it is important, because it means fitting together into one narrative such apparently unrelated persons as Gladstone and Gandhi, Roosevelt and Cecil Rhodes, Menelik and Mussolini, Kaiser Wilhelm II and King Thebaw; because it means combining in one story the Entente Cordiale and the Chinese Consortium, Dollar Diplomacy and pound sterling politics, alliances and loans, foreign missions and raw materials; because it means viewing as parts of one political panorama the Near East and the Far East, Mexico and Morocco, the Philippines and Fiji, Turkestan and Transvaal, Congo and Cuba.;”

The Philosophy and Opinions of Marcus Garvey placed Moon’s message in the context of “Race First”, given the drastic effects imperialism and world politics had on the entire Black Race. However, after Mr. Garvey died, his labors of racial love along with the work of the UNIA & ACL fell into disarray.

Very few of us will deny that this postcolonial era finds the African World as out of balance as it was during the era of slavery and colonialism. Mr. Garvey’s Universal Negro Improvement Association And African Communities League proved to be a golden nugget that served as a counterbalance for the African World, but somehow the improvement mechanisms of the UNIA & ACL waned to the point that even Garveyites appear to be discombobulated. As the plans go forth for this 2007 tribute, maybe we need to step back and review history.

The point I am attempting to prove is that the undercurrent of Moon’s book was not a condemnation of imperialism, but euphoria about the material growth that imperialism brought to bear. Ask any African nationalist what makes him tick and he will say – I hate the white man but I love the way he lives (?). What are we to conclude from that?

History is often rewritten in the light of translations from very ancient manuscripts preserved in the great libraries of the world's time-honored mystery schools. In these libraries we find the writings of our ancient elders, the great pharaohs, artists, saints, scientists, poets, etc. Such men and women were said to be “giants" or “gods.” The strange thing is – as with the Honorable Marcus Garvey, once those great individuals died their work was attacked and discarded.

The fact is that ancient manuscripts tell the story of the UNIA today, so to speak. History of the UNIA reveals that certain Garveyites from the day Mr. Garvey died moved bit-by-bit away from the spiritual ideology, and then away from the economic “Race First” doctrine. In its place were offered polluted concepts of self-abandonment. In some cases we purposely mistranslated the UNIA’S Rituals and the Constitution to conform to personal egos. Time immemorial reveals that after Africa’s true leaders had laid out a comprehensive plan for growth and prosperity and died, we turned our backs on them. As a result a period of utter decay was the result. There is an old Chinese proverb that says – “Insanity is doing the same thing in the same way & expecting a different outcome.”

Maybe as part of this 2nd Annual Universal Marcus Garvey Birthday Celebration and Tribute, we need to institute a process of purifying ourselves. Maybe we need to formulate a UNIA program whereby we incorporate the Laws of God and the Cosmos into our 21st century activities by re-grounding ourselves into a ‘race first’ progressive posture (Garveyism).

The planet Earth has long been defined as the dark star of sorrows and indeed for Africa and Africans we have found that to be true for the past thirteen centuries. Something has to CHANGE, and what must change is our outlook on racial evolution.

It appears that Garveyites need to establish a fellowship with our teachers of yesterday and come up with non-ordinary concepts of a “new beginning”.  A UNIA plan is needed to organize the universal African family around an updated version of Africa today. As Garveyites we need to BOOST within us the race spirit ensouled in Mr. Garvey and other leaders, some from our ancient past, in order to meditate, examine and re-establish a progressive black racial network.  Perhaps this band of Africans composed of men and women from another time can help us in this postcolonial era to climb out of the dehumanized aspect of  "beasthood" that led to the Race being defined as “The Wretched of the Earth.”

The question may be asked, why do we need to go back to the teaching of Amumhotep IV or Osiris if the objective is to seek guidance for today? If their teachings were so valuable, why did we not hold onto them? Why do we need to re-visit them today?

It was written in days of old that Ethiopia was the land where the gods loved to be. The answers that we seek may be found if we plow through history looking for distinct patterns as to why that was so.

From the earliest of time after the ruling hierarchies of the various pantheons, the gods of religion and science so to speak, there existed a "Golden Age." But as I said before, inadvertently each and every “golden” age ended up in a bloodbath. The same happened after the hay-day of the UNIA; when Mr. Garvey died all hell broke loose developing into racial decay. Be that as it is, the great universal truth appears to be that if mankind today has progressed, it was through the instrumentality of Ethiopia (Africa, the land of the black face). As I said before, Earth has long been defined as the dark star of sorrows, yet Ethiopia or Africa is said to be the land where the gods loved to be. Indeed during the ancient enlightened ages it was said that Ethiopia is where "men talked with the angels." Inevitably, however, what followed was a decline. Yet every time there is an era of enlightenment, despite the race, the world fell in decay.

Examples of such periods would be the eclipse of truth that followed the death of the great Pharaoh Amunhotep IV (Akhnaton), the first ruler in history to declare his belief in one God.  And we all know of the veil that was thrown over the “Word” of the Infinite Father after the Crucifixion on Golgotha. In the aftermath of that death, truth-seeking individuals were literally thrown to greedy beasts, and clandestine councils handed down misleading edicts that deprived mankind of their God-given knowledge and truth.

Other examples of such periods would also be the decadent rule in colonies after the submergence of Lemuria and Atlantis , the idolatrous period of late dynastic Egypt; the perversion and reckless actions of Scipio Africanus (236BC-211BC), the African in the Roman Senate who gave the Romans the plan that defeated the Carthaginian General Hannibal (247-183BC). That defeat led to a notorious Rome and Caesar Era (100-44BC). The fact is slavery and colonialism brought an increased number of Scipio-type personalities. A negative opposing force caused the destruction of Africa’s great treasures from antiquity, and the same is happening today.

Other examples include the destruction of the Aton Tablets in Akhnaton's record sanctum by the evil Amun priesthood after the great Pharaoh's assassination, burning of the Alexandrian library by Euro-American fanatics in A.D. 389, the largest and most famous repository of antiquity containing over seven hundred thousand volumes comprising most of the literary treasures of the ancient African world, an inestimable loss that brought about the "Dark Ages.”

We cannot dismiss the Asian Arabs that plundered North Africa and then Euro-Americans joined in the thievery, incendiaryism, and rape of Africa and the killing of Africans. Such malicious actions left Mother Africa raped and bleeding profusely, her children kidnapped and forced into a position of being docile and subservient. This action led to the total destruction of the Aztec libraries where Cortez in 1519 A.D. ravaged priceless codices with fire and the sword. These are just a few examples of the universal process of destruction of racial envy and hatred where sacred treasures, spiritual treasures, and even scientific treasures were stolen and or destroyed.

On the other hand, the "four corners" of the earth are enclosed with timeless records that for millennia have been hidden from the eyes of seeking Euro-Americans and others. There are priceless accounts of the struggles and intrigues of Africa, and Africans at home and abroad are now coming to light in the vibrations of the promised New Age! The ancient scribes and prophets spoke of angels and gods taking on mortal flesh to lift the physical, mental and spiritual level of Africans and the rest of humanity!

It has been said that certain African secret orders have always managed to salvage or save universal truth; either on clay tablets, scrolls, papyri and even now computer generated bits of African truth were/are recorded, so that future Africans might know, and in knowing the truth, free ourselves from the bondage of untold ages. These records have to do mainly with the physical and spiritual aspects of universal truths. They are based on the most ancient wisdoms associated with millions of years of trials and errors of African life and living. The 21st century seems to be saying – Africans at home and abroad need to readjust their lives to respond to the spiritual, physical, and economic aspects of the process for progress.

Given that the world is forever warning us of spiritual trappings, maybe we should begin this probe by examining the operation of a new UNIA by first examining the human mind. The human mind is not a spiritual entity, but a physical instrument of life and living. It is said to be the trustworthiest instrument we have. It is not spiritual but we rely on it to decipher the value of the physical and spiritual.

The human mind is totally undependable. It cannot really be counted upon at all. It is not able to be consistent and its performance is irregular as well as erratic. Day after day your mind forgets your keys, telephone numbers and addresses. It is the source of untold frustration or displeasure because it is so undependable. Take into account emotions, feelings, prejudices, blind spots, denials, projections, paranoia, phobias, fear, regrets, guilt, worries, anxiety, and fearsome visions of poverty, old age, sickness, death, failure, rejection, loss, and disaster, all of which contaminate the mind. Now remember the situation is exacerbated when the subject is the modern day African mind. The African mind has been erroneously programmed by endless slave propaganda, racially political slogans, Arab, Jewish and Euro-American versions of religious and social dogmas, and continual distortions of facts, not to mention falsifications, errors, misjudgments, and out-and-out racial misinformation.

Euro-Americans/Asians, Arabs, Christians, Jews and others possess mental processes rattled also with fake concepts orchestrated and disciplined in their social institutions, such as the law and legal proceedings, trials and legal processes. Their so-called “justice institutions” were designed to make direct statements to the Black Race. Remember the United States Supreme Court’s Dred Scott Decision was designed to show the world how the process of Black racial progress could become stoical forever. This democratic country’s Supreme Court Decision basically states that a “Black Man has no rights that a White Man is Bound to respect.”

Even when it comes to their kin and kind, their legal institutions are rife with error (as plainly revealed by DNA testing); even eyewitnesses are dead wrong over and over again. Such occurrences reveal that a primary defect of the mind is not only its content, usually irrelevant or in error, but the mind has no means of telling truth from falsehood. When a witness during a court proceeding gets on the witness stand, he holds his head high, places his right hand on the Bible as he raises his left hand and says, “I solemnly swear to tell the truth, the whole truth…” It is nothing but a game or window dressing. Someone thought that such a show was logical because it offers the court a religious sway especially when the verdict is handed down.

How can it be window dressing? Remember, thinking is an act, a process. To think is to react to, respond to, or interact with, reality. Reality interactions are nonverbal and even “noncerebral.” We are consciously "aware" of certain end products of thinking, even though thinking is an all-inclusive act. Any aspect of thinking tends to incorporate all other aspects of thinking. Homeostasis, for instance (a survival process), is as active a part of thinking as talking, but it takes place largely outside our ego-awareness. What saint or demon will admit that his thinking apparatus is an elaborate and mysterious entity that constantly leads him astray?

The 2nd Annual Universal Marcus Garvey Birthday Celebration And Tribute should consider the facts given the dehumanization process that Africans are enduring. It is futile for Africans to try to find truth via the physical mind. Truth via the physical mind time after time led to such things as Africans killing Africans using Euro-American guns, bullets and strategies. The Nigeria-Biafra Civil War (July 6, 1967 – January 13, 1970) is an example. Note that the ‘Nigerian' and `Biafran’ soldiers may not be shooting at each other today, but all over the African world such acts continue. (Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.)

Brother Obi Eqbuna in his book “DESTROY THIS TEMPLE gave all who read it a “Tylenol moment”, a reality check, a dose of shame when he said, --

“As every Nigerian knows to-day, if he were to dig up the bodies of all the soldiers killed in that ‘Nigerian' and `Biafran' war, he can no longer tell which body, was `Nigerian' and which was `Biafran', because all the tribal marks, whether Ibo, Yoruba, or Hausa, have perished with the flesh of the soldiers that bore them. The Ibos, the Yorubas, and the Hausas have become indistinguishable in the grave. Just one people! But there is one thing which remains distinguishable and indestructible, and will remain there long after the bodies have perished and rotted away and that is the bullet that killed the soldiers every one of these corpses carries that same bullet, made in one White country or another.”

The same is true with every Black on Black crime committed on all levels. The African mind is evidently flawed. Observe the amount of money African Americans give back to white organizations like the Red Cross, the United Way – when all over America there are Black men, women and children, homeless, beggars; yet we cannot figure out a racial recoil from this situation. Look at our ignorant children in racially integrated schools going nowhere fast and we cannot figure out why, despite the educationalist or Black PhD.

Forget about the physical African mind. Even if it could be trusted to produce a logical, stable product, it fails to grasp the significance of an African context and it interprets the results or misapplies them. Not only our minds, our hearts are also flawed. It has been said that unconditional love is a way to bypass many of the traps and quagmires of the professed mind, so where is the love?

If the Black Race is to progress in this 21st century, if the ‘Nigerian' and `Biafran' situation is not to be repeated over and over again (Darfur), then perhaps the 2nd Annual Universal Marcus Garvey Birthday Celebration And Tribute needs to consider the fact that the alleyway through the physical mind is really the pathway of `no mind'. The techniques of the ego-designed mind bypass thinkingness altogether. The good news – the physical mind is not all that there is. The mind would operate better if it were addressed from the context of the spirit or consciousness.

For a moment, liken the mind to a goldfish bowl. The bowl equates to the spiritual aspect of life and living; the water in the bowl represents consciousness, the fish are the thoughts and concepts. OK, when you include the spirit you look beyond the content of the physical mind. The context of thought incorporates space, so we must say that consciousness or  “spirit thoughts” occur via consciousness and are unaffected by physical thoughts.

Remember the thoughts of the unspiritual mind are controlled by the ego, and its vanity. The vanity of possession, which automatically adds value and importance to anything (possessions, opinions, associations, judgments, etc.), is prefixed by my/your ego-controlled mind. Once the supposed value of a thought has been enhanced by the term `mine', it now takes on an autocratic if not a despotic role and tends to dominate thought patterns and automatically distorts them.

The postcolonial African mind has been conditioned to follow the unspiritual Euro-American slavers’ training. We find it necessary to think of our thoughts as personal, valuable, and they belong to or originate from “me.” That spiritually is an illusion. Like the body, the mind and its contents are really a product of the world. One is born with a body part called a brain, which is programmed by genetics to have certain structures and potential as well as limitations, depending on chromosomes and gene combinations, DNA sequences, etc.

Here we are talking about a fragile, complex growth pattern of postcolonial brain neurons and synapses subject to intrauterine influences and post-natal fates including a Euro-American-inspired education or a jail cell.  Then there is the mental matter of such things as nutrition. Cultivated ideals of surviving being born black in a white dominated environment and an emotional and or intellectual climate that bring all this to bear is the issue. Here we have a postcolonial induced IQ from a university setting, the streets or a jail cell. Can you see how the convolutions are taking shape? Can you see why fathers and sons cannot agree, why the decisions of Black girls are as low rated as the boys’?

On the surface of this Euro-American-inspired postcolonial brain we find a Black man and woman trying to make the best of it. The Race all over the world has been conditioned to all aspects of Euro-American decay with all its complexity and errors. Neo-colonialism proceeds to systematically program this defective organ (the brain), with software of questionable accuracy, usefulness, or reality. Under the best condition, the body is not one’s own; it has a tendency to get sick or expire at will, and now we see that the mind is not really one’s position either. The mind like the body is impersonal at best, but now we find the need to question if the mind we looked upon as an African mind is not only annihilated as a product of Africa, but is not even a product of the self. (Remember this is true for Africans at home and abroad.). This is an African intra-racial situation.

Upon observing the general field of a 21st century African mind, it is apparent that the specific content of the thought stream is not likely to be rewarding for the self nor the African brotherhood. That being the case, this 2nd Annual Universal Marcus Garvey Birthday Celebration And Tribute must move further into the next level of consciousness and ask what is it that is watching, observing, being aware of, and registering the flow of thoughts that are supposed to be African thoughts. Surely there is an ongoing process of witnessing what is going on in this world.  The UNIA Ritual of the 1920-1940’s encouraged Garveyites to perceive that entity as a spiritual aspect of the Creator with its own distinct African existence. But what is the condition of the UNIA membership’s mental practice in 2007?

Garveyites have been trained to seek out the pure African deities, the ruling hierarchy in the pantheon of gods during the “Golden Age.” The problem with that is we are forced to consider the spiritual aspect of life as foolish. Our postcolonial Euro-American educated mind believes that the spiritual does not exist. How about putting aside our Euro-American education a moment and give it the old “prison house.” You know Mr. Garvey was put in prison, yet he did not forget who’s who and what’s what!  Try and develop an escape route to African deceptive realisms. An escape is made difficult because with the spiritual there can be no self, no entity doing the thinking; neither can there be a physical witness behind witnessing. Witnessing is an impersonal, inborn aspect and characteristic of consciousness itself. One can retreat from involvement with the contents of thought and choose to adopt the point of view of observing or witnessing.

Before you adversely judge me, hear me out.

By studying the goings on during that “Golden Age” era, we find that the word was prepared. We read  -- “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1:1). "Word" in its first and original sense does not mean voice, sound, or speech. It means: the Creation, according to divine laws, from the universal creative fluid in the "tomb," "cave," or manger of the earth of that Perfect One, has the power to spiritualize and regenerate Adamic man. From ancient manuscripts we read; " Man does not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." Is that to say that a man cannot depend on his brain alone for guidance and prosperity?

Of course the “Word” has been trashed given the various versions offered. Yesterday marriage was a spiritual, sacred institution between a man and a woman. Today marriage is a physical relation between whomever and for any purpose. Africans following Euro-American encouragement prefer not to remember that we were taught  . . . the Divine Creative Influx was prepared on earth that man might receive it in love and understanding ... that man might ascend to higher spiritual knowledge and wisdom because of this preparation. Such teaching came out of Africa long before the white people understood the value of taking a bath much less about spirituality. When someone asked Brother Malcolm what did the Negro lose in Africa, Brother Malcolm answered, “He lost his mind.”
One of the things Brother Malcolm may have been referring to is the African teaching that said:  -- “When the Prophet Daniel saw a winged lion emerge from the sea, he saw the symbolic representation of a New Age in which the Divine Truth of the “Word” sets out to conquer new spiritual territory. To understand that fully, we may need to look at what "lion " means in its symbolic sense.  We must search the ancient mysteries and the strange symbolism associated with these mysteries. There we find that "Lion" in the positive sense signifies divine truth in power! That is why Christ is called "the lion of the tribe of Judah."

The "lion" denotes the fearlessness of one who is imbued with Divine Truth as Marcus Garvey was. It has been said that, “... those who are in Divine Truths from the Word are like lions, though they may have no more bodily strength than a lamb.” How do you think our fathers survived slavery? It had to do with their love of God, the love of Africa and the love of everything African including their African selves? Why do you think Euro-Americans were hell-bent on turning the spiritually minded Black person away from things African? Africans built the USA and in the process apparently we lost the quality of the lion. The task of the UNIA is to reinstate the lion quality to Africans, at home and abroad.

To become proficient in grasping African spiritual thought process takes some practice. It has to do with total surrender, not to Euro-Americans as we are doing, but to God the Creator of heaven and earth. Witnessing or observing does not focus on any idea or image but allows them to flow without involvement. One then realizes that thought images are occurring spontaneously and the thoughts are not choices made by personal decision but that the thought stream is impersonal. The thoughts are not `mine' as there is no ‘me' involved. As the physical eye sees images, it does not claim authorship of the images nor does the ear claim authorship of sound.

Therefore, as one acknowledges the experience of witnessing and pure observing, it becomes apparent that a unique personage called `I’ does not author thoughts: They are the result of combinations and variations of the notional and emotional agenda; a spiritual thought process. The realization is the mind is not the same as `I' or `me’. To correct our thinking will have to break the identification of the ego/self mind and acknowledge a higher soul/mind. As stated before, to become proficient in grasping this African-based spiritual thought process takes practice.

This realization infers that the African has surrendered himself to God (“For in God’s hands we rest untroubled …”); one is guided willingly accepting the role of the witness, experiencer, and observer of sensation. By moving the point of examination from what is being witnessed to that of witnessing, the field of consciousness is aware of experiencing.  Is experiencing done by a `who' or by a ‘what'?

The mind can be partitioned into a thinking mind and/or an aware mind. The aware mind knows, recognizes, and is conscious of many things and has capacities that do not depend on thought, language, or concepts. It recognizes wholes and essential elements and patterns. If the mind stops languaging and sequencing thoughts, it is still capable of rapid comprehension on a nonverbal level. Dogs, wolves, cows, horses, etc. know or recognize a great deal, with no language necessary.

Do your own research and you will find that the aware mind is always present but overlooked if the mind is focused on reason/logic/thought/words. The aware mind is analogous to peripheral vision as compared to central vision. For instance, although the eyes may focus on a specific object such as a clock, they are also simultaneously taking in, registering, and recognizing the entire room.

Maybe during the 2nd Annual Universal Marcus Garvey Birthday Celebration And Tribute we, individually and collectively, may desire to adopt the spiritual concepts of Garveyism as related to “Africa for Africans, those at home and those abroad”; returning to the Race as individual Africans to recognize our resurrection will take place as we awake to all we are. We need to accept the fact that “faithlessness is not lack of faith but faith in nothing.”
What if we truly believed there is a God – a beneficent order to things, a force that’s holding things together without our conscious control? What if we could return to the pre-colonial era, before we accepted the false gods of others? What if we return to the era when we organized ourselves as African sons of God and organized our daily lives around that concept? What if we accepted God, His working and His force? What if we believed that God loved us somehow, and cared for us, and protected us? What if we believed we could afford to relax?

What if we could come to understand that despite the monumental difficulties we experienced over the last thirteen centuries, the unfolding of our African primary programming was ongoing all along? In spite of the madness, in spite of the multiprogramming overlay associated with slavery, African progress does not depend on our genuflecting before Euro-Americans nor their science as many of us think. Euro-Americans have not nor can they produce a drop of water or a blade of grass.

The African’s physical body is at work every moment. For it is an array of mechanisms with a brilliance of design and efficiency. Our hearts beat, our lungs breathe, our blood flows, our ears hear, our toenails grow. We do not make them work, they just do. Planets revolve around the sun, seeds become flowers, embryos become babies, and with no help from us. Their movement is built into a natural system.

At the 2nd Annual Universal Marcus Garvey Birthday Celebration And Tribute maybe Garveyites need to draw up a resolution requesting that the African political, cultural and economic leadership develop a universal African unity road map. That universal African unity road map will make for an African spiritual agenda associated with a universal economic agenda. Couple that with removing the parallel lines of African disunity. By so doing at our 3rd Annual Universal Marcus Garvey Birthday Celebration And Tribute, in 2008, the world of Africans will rejoice in the claim that we have bridged the universal African family into a single thrust. Dominant no longer; no longer perceived as murderous tyrants trying to devour each other; but a responsive tool, responsive to a process far beyond the personal, yet most intensely and completely our true African selves; our diversity intact, yet united. Then we will recognize the true role of our logical, semantic, and cultural thinking!

The leaders of the 1st Annual Universal Marcus Garvey Birthday Celebration And Tribute displayed the ability of a microscope for they measured the angular separations of African Nationalists and brought them close together. Can those same leaders develop a binding resolution that says that the Family of Universal African Nationalists as an African racial growth component, recognize the same force that makes flowers grow as the director of our lives?

To trust in the force that moves the universe requires faith. Faith is not blind; it is visionary. Faith believes that the universe is on our side and that the universe knows what it is doing. Faith is a psychological awareness of unfolding force for good, constantly at work in all dimensions. Please note today we are trying to push the Black race forward by personal egos, operating without faith. Note that we are frantically trying to control what is not our business to control, and fix what is not in our power to fix.

If at the conclusion of the 2nd Annual Universal Marcus Garvey Birthday Celebration And Tribute it can be documented that a resolution with firmness of purpose laying out a proposal to the global African Community that a universal African unity road plan needs to be enacted, Garveyism will be positioned toward immediate re-acceptance. The diagram must incorporate a universal African spiritual agenda associated with a universal African economic and cultural agenda. The question is can preparation be made ready for the 3rd Annual Universal Marcus Garvey Birthday Celebration?

I believe such a plan would be in line with what our illuminating leader, The Right Excellent Marcus M. Garvey, expects of us. Remember that he instructed us to realize that – “Confidence, conviction, action will cause us to be free men today!” He also said: -- “Let Africa be our guiding star – our star of destiny! His axiom -- One GODOne AIMOne DESTINY!!!
